spread on this game has since moved down to three points flat, although the majority of the betting money coming in is on Clemson. In fact 61 percent of the public is backing the ACC Champion Tigers.
This game should provide some fireworks as both offenses have been very effective this year. The Tigers averaged over 441 yards per game and over 30 points and can put up points against any defense in the country. Quarterback Tajh Boyd is very effective under center, but the player to watch will be Sammy Watkins who is a huge target for Boyd.
Geno Smith should not be overlooked as the quarterback of the Mountaineers. Their offense is also very capable of putting points up on the board, but the difference will be on defense and coaching. Clemson won their first total since 1991 and came out of nowhere to make their mark this year. That is not going to change in this game.
The Mountaineers are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 against the ACC, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in January, and 1-4 ATS in their last five Bowl games. The Tigers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a win and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 20 points.
The coaching staff of Clemson has this team well prepared and is able to get the players focused on big games as evident in the ACC Championship. This game will not be close s the Tigers will win big and claim the Orange Bowl Championship.
